Ama Lou Alden, 82, Savannah, Missouri, formerly of St. Joseph and Hamilton, Missouri, passed away on February 19, 2013, at LaVerna Village in Savannah.
Ama Lou was born on April 15, 1930, to George D. and Bertha L. Wilson Swindler. She had attended business college and had worked in the past as a secretary in various businesses and also with her husband's insurance business.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ama is survived by her husband, John E. Alden, also of Savannah; Daughter, Shelley Hood, Ottawa, Kansas; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother, Gordon Dale (Shirley) Swindler, Hamilton.
There will be no traditional services. Interment: Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, Missouri. Arrangements: Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.
