Beverly June
Snyder
Jul 16, 1935 — Dec 11, 2021
Springfield
Beverly June Snyder, 86, Sparta, MO, passed away on December 11, 2021, at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born on July 16, 1935, to Blake and Margaret (Wallace) Corbett in Hamilton, MO.
She is survived by four children, William Dale Snyder, Chillicothe, MO; Douglas Blake Snyder, Ozark, MO; Susan Lynn Nickell, Sedalia, MO; and Clinton Wayne Snyder, Troy, Montana; brother-Ronald Keith Corbett, Grand Junction, CO; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Beverly graduated as Salutatorian from the new Penney High School in Hamilton in 1952. She was married to William F. (Bill) Snyder of Hamilton in 1955 and they lived on a farm just south of the Kendall Chapel Methodist Church. In 1969 they purchased the Western Auto Store in Gallatin, and moved there. Beverly and Bill divorced in 1978 and Beverly moved to Kidder, MO, and went to work for Cameron Mutual Insurance. She retired from Cameron Mutual Insurance in 1998 and moved to Plad, MO, moving her mother, Margaret Corbett to nearby Buffalo, MO, during the same timeframe. In 2017 she moved to an apartment in Sparta, MO- where she loved the little town neighborhood again.
Beverly would often talk fondly of the time of her and her family's lives when they were in the Kendall Chapel community in Caldwell County. She would say that it was a special place and time and what a gift it was to have been a part of that family and that neighborhood.
Her later life was spent enjoying the Ozarks, which she also loved, and with South MO friends and her beloved pets. Many of who knew Beverly throughout her life understood that she was an intelligent and independent mind-didn't always keep hidden the independent parts-but truly valued being content with what she had and keeping life about the simpler things. She loved books and puzzles and photo albums of her family history. Up until a few weeks before her passing, she would often walk a mile with one of her sons.
