Bobby "Bob" Gene Gray, 65, Hamilton, Missouri, passed away on February 8, 2016, at his home.

Bob was born on February 23, 1950, in Downing, Missouri, on his grandparent's farm, to Harold and Daisy Shepherd Gray. He was a graduate of the Lancaster High School, in Lancaster, Mo., and then attended Northeast Missouri State University-Kirksville, Mo., for two years.

Bob had worked as a farmer and had dairy cattle, and from 1990 to 2008 he was the Chief of Custody at Western Missouri Correctional Center, Cameron. From 2008 through the present, he was the administrator of the Daviess County Regional Jail.

Bob thought the world of his grandchildren and adored his family. He was anxiously awaiting the birth of another grandchild in July.
He had a very kind heart and was a hard worker. In his free time Bob enjoyed messing around on the farm by checking his cows, fixing gates, and being outdoors. He loved to watch Chiefs football, and avidly attended yard sales collecting chickens and ducks.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold; In-laws, Bud and Wilma Kerby; and brother-in-law, Bill Kerby.

On January 13, 1971, he married Janie Kerby in Lancaster. She survives of the home.
