Brian Hugh McKenzie, 64, Hamilton, MO., passed away at his home on February 2, 2023.  Brian moved to Hamilton 17 years ago from Plattsburg, MO.

Brian was born on February 21, 1958, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, to Homer and Terry (Mercer) McKenzie.  He graduated from Raytown South High School, Raytown, MO., in 1976.  He retired from Western Missouri Correctional Center, Cameron, MO., working as a guard.  Being on his farm and taking care of his animals was what he enjoyed doing most.

He was preceded in death by his father, Homer McKenzie.

Survivors:  Mother-Terry Manley, Mesa, AZ; two daughters-Shannon Bush (Jacob), Savannah, MO., and Teresa Hall-Love (Jordan), Lee's Summit, MO.; 3 Siblings-Chris McKenzie, Peggy Forelich, and Stephanie Wilkerson; and 7 grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral  Home, Hamilton, MO.

A service will be held at a later date.
