Dorothy (Dotty) M. (Kipp) Prothero, 87, Kingston, MO., went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2025.  Dotty passed away at the Liberty Hospital, Liberty, MO.

Dotty was born on February 5, 1938, in Cameron, MO, to Joe H. and S. Louise (Moss) Kipp.  Dotty obtained her GED.

Dotty attended the Wells of Joy Church, south of Hamilton.  She enjoyed following all of the Penney High School sporting events and spending time with her family and friends.

She worked many years at Striderite Shoe Factory in Hamilton, MO. Charlotte Wilson and Donna Orr were special friends and preceded Dotty in death.  She also enjoyed spending time with her church family including Pastor Mark and Cindy McBee at Wells of Joy Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-Joe N. Kipp and sister-Donna Orr.

Dotty married Jerry Prothero on January 18, 1953.  He preceded her in death.

Survivors include son-Rick (Jill) Prothero, Kingston; daughter-Chris (Ronny) Bratcher, Kidder, MO.; 3 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; and sister Patty Pierce, Texas; brother Ronnie Kipp, Kingston.

Cremation entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, MO.
