Elmore Jones, 93, Independence Missouri, beloved son, husband, brother, and uncle passed away June 11 2010.  Memorial Services will be held Wednesday June 23 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church 3601 S. Sterling Independence Mo.  Internment on Thursday August 5 11 a.m. at Highland Cemetery Hamilton Mo.Elmore was born August 17 1916 in Hamilton to Ora and Emma Jones.  He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees United Methodist Men and as an usher.  He was employed at Sears Rosebuck and Co. in the Building Supply Department.  Elmore and his wife of 56 years Eleanor won many Arabian Horse competitions including the Missouri State Fair and American Royal.Elmore was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Russell Connor and Stanley; and two sisters Lucille Long and Anna Laura Bux.  He is survived by his wife Eleanor; and a sister Jean Marie Hines Hamilton; twelve nieces and nephews; and a cousin.
