Estel S. Segar, 84, Hamilton, Missouri, passed away April 5, 2014, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Hamilton.

Estel is survived by his wife, Eva, Hillcrest Manor; two sons, Ed (Bonnie), and Glen, both of Hamilton; daughter, Wanda Bridges, Maplewood, MN; six grandchildren, Lori Bowen, Chillicothe; Jason (Jennifer) Segar, Hamilton; Nicole and Robert Garayalde, Minneapolis, MN; and Andrew and Benjamin Bridges, Maplewood, MN; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Estel is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ruth Segar; five siblings-locally were Iris Burnett, Hamilton, and Neil Segar, Polo; and a daughter, Susan Garayalde, Minneapolis, MN.

Estel married Eva Turner in 1947.  They moved to north of Hamilton in 1951.  He was a farmer and an auto worker at General Motors in Kansas City, Kansas.  Estel and Eva loved to dance and over the years belonged to several square dancing clubs.  Estel enjoyed boating and was well known for teaching many to water ski.  When Estel retired from General Motors at the age of 55, Eva and he were able to travel the world.  They made lots of friends along the way and especially enjoyed southern Texas and Mexico.

Funeral Service:  2 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Visitation:  6:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, at the funeral home.

Interment:  McCrary Cemetery, Gallatin, Mo.
