George Allen, 61, Hamilton Missouri passed away on March 5 2010 at the Cameron Regional Medical Center Cameron.  George was born on April 23 1948 in King City Missouri to Larry and Pearl Henkins Allen.  He was a 1966 graduate of the Penney High School Hamilton.  He served our country for one tour in the Army during Vietnam.  He started working at the Stride Rite Shoe Factory as an employee and retired as the Superintendent after almost forty years of employment there where he had also served as President of the factory union.  He had also worked for one year at New York Life Insurance Co. after his service in the war.  George was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church and the Hamilton American Legion Post #285.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two nieces. Survivors:  Connie Allen of the home; Son Creed Allen (Lori) Nixa Mo.; three grandchildren Malorie Tyler and Emily; Brother Larry Lee Allen (Mitch) Kearney Mo.; Sister Barbara King (Bob) Kansas City Mo.; Brother Charles Allen (Cathy) Cameron Mo.; Sister Patty Orr (Lyle) Brookfield Mo.; Sister Peggy Burke (Paul) Hamilton; Brother Robert Allen (Jeanne) Rothville Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.  The body has been cremated.  Memorial Service:  3 p.m. Sunday March 7 at the Hamilton United Methodist Church Family Life Center.  Visitation:  1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Inurnment at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hamilton American Legion Post #285 or to the charity of your choice.       Bram Funeral Services
