George Hobbs, 71, Hamilton Missouri formerly of Oklahoma and Colorado, passed away at his home on February 19 2010. George was born on December 22 1938 in Caldwell County Missouri to George and Esther Allen Hobbs.  He had graduated from the Hamilton High School.  He had earned his B.S. degree from CMSU-Warrensburg and his Masters Degree from Texas.  He had served our country during the Vietnam War from 1968-1969 and had worked in the U.S. Air Force as a Captain.  George had been a United Methodist minister in Oklahoma serving in many churches.  He had also worked for the U.S. Forestry Service in Colorado and had worked other jobs in Missouri and Colorado. George married Nancy Applegate on September 3 1960 in Independence Mo.  She preceded him in death in 2006.  George was also preceded by his father. Survivors:  Mother Esther Hobbs Hamilton; Son Thomas and his wife Denise Hobbs Altus Oklahoma; Sisters Kathy McIntosh Cameron Mo. and Barbara Janicki Nanuet New York; three grandchildren Jacob Emily and Jarrett; and his two dogs Patches and Deuce.
