George Wesley "Wes" Thornton, 51, Kansas City, MO, passed away on October 14, 2020, at the North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, MO.  He previously lived in Gallatin and Kearney, MO.

Wes was born on March 30, 1969, in Kansas City, MO, to George Thornton, Jr., and Judy DeVaul Thornton.  He graduated from the Truman High School, in Independence, MO, in 1987.  He was a commercial painter in Kansas City starting in 1988 and recently retired from Cass County Coatings.

He was an avid sports fan especially for the Dallas Cowboys, and he loved to fish.

Wes was preceded in death by his mother, wife-Donna, and step-son, Roy.

Survivors:  Father-George Thornton, Jr., Hamilton; Sister-Adrienne Thornton, Greenwood, MO; Fiance-Shelly Davis, Kansas City, MO; Step-daughter-Denise Goldak, Leavenworth, KS; and best friends- Logan Lindquist, Kansas City, MO, and Ryan James, Independence, MO.

Funeral Service:  11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Visitation:  1 hour prior to the funeral, 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday.

Interment:  The Kidder Cemetery, Kidder, MO.
