Imogene Grace Edwards, 89, Hamilton, Missouri, passed away on September 23, 2012, at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Hamilton.

Imogene was born on June 24, 1923, in Livingston County, Missouri, to Warren L. and Jennie McBride Moore. She was raised in Hamilton. In 1941, she graduated from the Hamilton High School. She received her B.S. in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, in 1951, and her Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin. She had taught school for over 30 years in several schools including Webb City, Mo., Princeton, Mo., Liberty, Mo., Butler, Mo., and the North Kansas City, Mo., school district.

She married Arby Edwards on June 4, 1961, in Hamilton, Mo., at the Baptist Church. When she and Arby retired, they lived on a farm north of Braymer. She was a member of the Hamilton Federated Church, the Association of University Women, and the Princeton, Missouri, Business and Professional Organization.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Survivors: nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service and Interment: 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton.

Visitation: 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials: The Hamilton Federated Church.
