Janice J. "Loy" Alden, 96, of Hamilton, MO., passed away on May 25, 2026.

She was born on March 5, 1930, in St. Joseph, MO., to Leonard and Madge "Pugh" Loy.  Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Everett "Junior" Alden; and her younger sister, Jerilyn "Loy" Crawford.

Janice married Everett "Junior" Alden on October 22, 1949, in Kidder, MO.  Together they farmed in the Kidder area for many years before moving to Hamilton in 1997.

Janice graduated from the Kidder High School in 1948.  She then graduated from Chillicothe Business College in 1949 and later served as the County Director of the Caldwell County Division of Family Services until her retirement.  Following retirement, Janice and Junior enjoyed traveling throughout the United States in their RV, visiting many state and national parks.  They especially enjoyed their time working in Branson, MO., and at the Grand Canyon.

Janice enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening, and spending quiet time on her back porch.  Above all else, she treasured time spent with her family.

She is survived by her children, Jeff (Sonya) Alden of Osborn, MO., and Carol (Glen) Solomon of Hamilton, MO.; her grandchildren, Michael (Tessa) Alden of Osborn, Jennifer Alden of Stewartsville, MO., and Sara (Richard) Vaughn of Clinton, MO.; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Colby, Caroline and David.

Janice will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her hardworking spirit, and the warmth and care she shared with those around her.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton, MO.
