Karl "Scott" Simpson, 62, Hamilton, MO., passed away at his home in Hamilton, MO., on November 26, 2025.
Scott was born on December 10, 1962, in Chillicothe, MO., to William Leroy Simpson and Sharon Ann (Howerton) Simpson Schneiter. He graduated from the Southwest R-I School, Ludlow, MO., in 1981. Scott worked many years as a heavy equipment operator. Scott honorably served his country in the Army and Army Reserves
Scott was a family man with a heart of gold, and deep love for his family and many friends. He loved the simple things in life: Sunday dinner at his Mom's, spending time with his family and his deep-faith and love for the Lord. Scott's soul purpose for the last 10 years was the protection and raising of his grandson, Jaxen. He was an outdoorsman and fisherman---his favorite place to fish was the sandy banks of the Grand River with a fire and sounds of nature. He loved to mushroom hunt his favorite spots yearly. Driving down the country roads dear to his heart and being one with the outdoors was special to him. He was a great storyteller of the many adventures he had been thru in his life-so many it would fill a book. His hobbies included metal detecting, drawing, and Bible study. He will be missed so much by his family and friends. Scott was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, Hamilton.
Scott was preceded in death by his father; siblings-Brenda Cranmer, Vicky Simpson, Toni Phillips, Mike Simpson and Kelly Simpson; maternal grandparents-Perry and Jessie Howerton; paternal grandparents-Gertrude Renfrow and Benton Simpson; and niece-Rachel Leeper.
Survivors who will miss him dearly include his mother-Sharon Ann Schneiter, Mooresville; siblings-Penny (Ron) Snider, Hamilton; Carmen Allnutt, Mooresville, MO; Shanda Feeney, Chillicothe, MO; and Amy Nieman, Mooresville; long-time life companion, Candy Simpson, Chillicothe; children-Tiffany Bailey, Tasha Sackrey, Jessica Simpson, Candice Simpson and Michelle Neal; grandchildren-Jaxen Simpson, Katie and Hunter Sackrey, Ethan and Mason Hall, Madison, Evalynn and Jaxon Bailey, Kyle and Rhiannon Jackson, Gersemi and Hnoss Day, and Brian, Riley, Hanna and Bradley Robertson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
