Kathleen "Kathy" Joan Battaglia, 66, Hamilton, Missouri, passed away on April 21, 2013, at the Cameron Regional Medical Center, Cameron, Missouri.

Kathy was born on September 30, 1946, in Glasgow, Scotland, to George Forrest and Joan Ferris Kirkpatrick. She had graduated from high school in Scotland. She and her husband, Tony, had lived in California and Oregon, before moving to Missouri in 1974. She had worked as a teacher's aide in the Hamilton R-II school district. She was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathy married Anthony "Tony" Battaglia on July 7, 1968, in San Francisco. He survives of the home.

Additional survivors: Son, Eric (Lisa) Battaglia, both Senior Chiefs in the U.S. Navy; Daughters, Dawn Battaglia, Altamont, Missouri, and Wendy Battaglia, Hamilton; 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters; Brother, John Kirkpatrick, Australia; Sister-in-law, Beryl Kirkpatrick, Australia; 3 nephews, 1 niece, and 6 great-nieces and nephews.

Kathy has been cremated under the direction of Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Kathy requested that her family have a Family Life Celebration at their family farm at a later date.

The family requests no flowers, and would prefer friends to make memorial contributions in Kathy's name to the Caldwell County Foundation Cancer Assistance Fund or the Hamilton Food Bank.
