Katy Dale (Umbaugh) Curp, 38, Kingston, MO., passed away on September 4, 2019, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, KS.

Katy was born on November 17, 1980, in Jefferson, Iowa, to Frank and Georgia (Pearson) Umbaugh.  The family moved to Mirabile, MO, when Katy was 3 years old, and Katy lived in the Mirabile area the rest of her life.  She attended the Mirabile School, and graduated from the Polo, MO, high school in 1999.  She earned her B.S. degree in Paralegal Studies from William Woods University and was employed by the Gagnon Law Firm in Lathrop and Plattsburg, MO.

She served on the board of the Caldwell County Library, Kingston, and she was a member of the MCBC.

Katy was preceded in death by her grandparents.

On October 27, 2017, she married Kevin Curp at her parent's home in Mirabile.  Kevin survives of the home.

Additional survivors:  Children-Mason Hernandez and Olivia Mann; Step-children-Hailee, Hannah, and Wyatt Curp; Parents-Frank and Georgia Umbaugh, Mirabile; Sisters-Robbi (Bobby) Culp, Adel, Iowa; and Lily Umbaugh-Dignan, Exeter, California; Brother-Don (Brooke) Umbaugh, Mirabile; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Cremation entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

A Visitation celebrating Katy's life will be held on Sept. 21, 2019, from noon until 6 p.m., at the Mirabile School, 2954 SW State Highway D, Polo, MO 64671.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MCBC in Katy's memory and honor.
