Lura Peck, 91, Hamilton Missouri passed away September 19 2011 at Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cameron Mo.Lura was born on August 8 1920 in Utica Missouri to Merl and Alta Cosby Merryfield. She was a graduate of the Utica High School. She had been a homemaker and mother and had later worked at the Stride Rite Shoe Factory in Hamilton. She was also a member of the Breckenridge Baptist Church.Lura was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard in 1978; two brothers Charles Raymond and Fredrick Merl Merryfield; and a sister Juanita Ireland.Survivors: Daughters Elana (Steve) Thomas Lathrop Mo.; Alicia (Alan) Fisher Kidder Mo.; and Sylvia (Bob) West Blacksburg Virginia; 6 grandchildren Melissa Keller Stephanie Thomas Kristina (Randall) Barnes and Bobby Tim and Laura West; 3 great-grandchildren Thomas Clara and Ethan Keller; Brother George (Helen) Merryfield Grandview Mo; Three sisters Wanona (Junior) Gardner and Wanda Long all of Chillicothe Mo.; and Donna Norris Hamilton; Brother-in-law Otis Ireland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
