Rex Wilson Potts, 59, Hamilton, Missouri, formerly of Kidder, Mo., passed away on March 25, 2014, at the Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Mo.

Rex was born on July 16, 1954, in Kidder, Mo., to Warren Dale and Doris Nadine Wilson Potts.  He was a graduate of the DeSoto, Kansas, high school.  He had worked as a self-employed carpenter.  Rex had attended the Warriors of Destiny Church in Cameron.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dakota; brothers, Donald and Christopher; and a niece, Michelle.

On February 22, 2014, he married Marci Meserve in Cameron. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors:  Children-Rex Allen Potts (Elisha), Olathe, Kansas; Matt Potts (Lorri), Hamilton, Mo.; Cody Potts, Maryville, Mo.; Julie Dougan (Donnie), Olathe, Ks; and Montana Potts, Hamilton; Brother-Robert Dale Potts, Kidder; Sisters, Donna Marcott, Hamilton, and Judy Hogue, Kidder; and 16 grandchildren.

Funeral:  2 p.m., Monday, March 31, at the Kidder Baptist Church, Kidder.
Visitation:  1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
Interment:  The Kidder Cemetery, Kidder.
Memorials may be made to the family.
