Richard Wayne Whitt, 76, Hamilton, Missouri, passed away on April 2, 2014, at Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation, Cameron, Mo.

Richard was born on June 17, 1937, in rural Daviess County, Mo., to Harley Vest and Letha M. Beaman Whitt.  He had worked as a self-employed mechanic.

On January 14, 1962, he married Lois Collins in Miami, Oklahoma.  She preceded him in death in 2009.  Richard was also preceded by his parents; brothers and sisters-Dean, Carolyn, James, Evelyn, Kathy, Darrell, and Elsie; and half-brothers and half-sister, Herbert, Ollus, and Vivian.

Survivors:  Sons-Troy Whitt (Lori), Cameron, Mo., and Rod Whitt (Darla), Hamilton; Daughter-Tina Long (Kyle), Cameron; 9 grandchildren-Kelsey, Geoffery, Ellie, and Kallee Whitt; Colt and Cale Whitt; and Sophia, Andrew, and Alysha Long; 2 great-grandchildren- Grant Hummel and Presleigh Harpster; Brothers-Gary and Ivan Whitt; Half brother and  half-sister, Boyd Whitt and Daisy Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service:  11 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2014, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Visitation:  5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, April 6, at the funeral home.

Interment:  McCrary Cemetery, Gallatin, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Caldwell County Foundation Cancer Assistance Fund.
