Robert Lee Parker, 87, Lathrop, MO, formerly of Independence, MO, passed on December 17, 2022, at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Hamilton.  Robert lived in Independence most of his life.

Robert was born on February 25, 1935, in Independence, to Arthur Ward and Mildred (Richey) Parker.  He graduated from high school and served his country in the Army for 6 years.  He worked for and retired from the Leeds Assembly Plant (GM Motors).  In his spare time he loved to fish, travel, spend time with his children, and enjoyed making silver jewelry.

On August 19, 1958, he married Bonnie Griffin in New York while serving in the military.  They were married 57 years before she preceded him in death.  He was also preceded by his parents and his brother, Gary.

Survivors:  Children-Angie Waldron, Lathrop, MO; Lori Horner, Tennessee; and Steven Parker, Buckner, MO; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton, MO.
