Robin Rebecca (South) Bassett, 62, Hamilton, Mo., passed unexpectedly at her home in Hamilton on February 17, 2019, to go be with her savior.  She lived in Hamilton for the past 16 years, previously living in Kidder, Mo., and Byers, Colorado.

Robin was born on July 22, 1956, in Leon, Iowa, to Donald Dean and Norma (Kelley) South.  She attended college, worked in the student loan department at Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, and also worked in the past at the American Academy of Environmental Science in Colorado.  Robin worked for many years and was a longtime employee in the sales department of F.C. Grace Furniture in Kidder until its closure.

Robin was a daughter, sister, and mother, and she is survived by her parents; brothers-Floyd and David South, her son, Ira Paul Savely, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Robin married Richard L. Bassett in 2002 and he preceded her in death.

She enjoyed a love for flowers, fishing, and being outdoors.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home.

A graveside service and inurnment will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 25, at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, for family and friends.

Don't cry for me.  I will be okay.  Heaven is my home now, and this is where I'll stay.

Don't cry for me.  I'm where I belong.  I want you to be happy and try to stay strong.

Don't cry for me.  It was just my time, but I will see you someday on the other side.

Don't cry for me.  I am not alone.  The angels are with me to welcome me home.

Don't cry for me, for I have no fear.  All my pain is gone, and Jesus took my tears.
