Ruby Lavonne Laursen, 92, Gladstone, Mo., formerly of Bolivar, Mo., passed away on the morning of June 29, 2015. She was as beautiful and delicate as her most precious of God's gifts of butterflies. She was a beautiful lady with so much love to give.

Ruby was born on January 2, 1923, in Alta, Iowa, to Herman and Ida Grienke Nelson. She served our country during World War II in the Navy Waves.

Ruby had worked and retired from the Phillips Petroleum Company in Kansas City, Kansas, as a keypunch operator.

She married Delmer Laursen on August 29, 1944. He preceded her in death.

Survivors: Children-Brian Laursen, Carole Cantrell, Lorna (Doug) Raden, and Douglas Laursen; Step-sister- Donna Blake; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 1 to 1:45 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Graveside Service & Interment: 2 p.m., directly after the visitation, at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton.
