Ruby Pauline Spainhower, 95, Ashland, Kentucky, formerly of Kidder, Missouri, passed away on January 8, 2016, and joined the LORD in Heaven.

She was born on September 3, 1920, and raised in Kidder where she was a long-time resident there until she moved to Kentucky to be with family. Pauline was an active person involved in local civic and political events all her adult life. She was a loving, caring and giving person who cared about the residents of Kidder and the welfare and progress of the town.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Joann; husband, Bernie Luxon Spainhower; parents, Waldo E. Gebhart and Ollie Jane Hinds Gebhart; and a special friend, Richard "Bard/Shorty" Bennett.

Survivors: Daughter, Karen Spainhower Sammons (Stan), Ashland; grandchildren, Robert A. Moyer III (Sonia), Naples, Florida; Gwen Ward (Scott), Columbus, Indiana; and Matthew Sammons (Shawna), Lexington, Kentucky; and seven great-grandchildren.

The body has been cremated.

Visitation: 11 a.m., to noon, Saturday, January 16, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Graveside Services will directly follow the visitation at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton.
