Ruby Stevenson, 96, went to be with the Lord on February 6 2010. Visitation will be at Brown Funeral home Cameron Mo. on February 11 2010 from 7 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be February 12 at 2 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Providence Baptist Church building fund in Ruby's memory 12206 N. Stark Ave. Kansas City Mo. 64167. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday after 1 p.m.Ruby was born on August 20 1913 in Kansas City Mo. the daughter of Roy and Nellie Budd. She was formerly a member of Providence Baptist church and at the time of her death a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Her family and serving the Lord were her greatest joys.She was preceded in death by her husband Claude A. Stevenson. She is survived by her four children Jerry Stevenson and wife Donna; Linda Moore and husband Jim; Marvin Stevenson and wife Brenda; Eldon Stevenson and wife Sandy; a brother Forrest Budd; sister Mary Hatfield; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.Ruby leaves a wonderful example of Christian living for her family and friends to follow.
