Ruth Grooms, 93, Hamilton Mo. formerly of Kidder Mo. passed away at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home on September 12 2011. She had previously lived in St. Joseph Missouri before moving to Kidder in 1963.Ruth was born on May 30 1918 in Cameron Mo. to Robert Earl and Molly Ellen Moore Knox. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Kidder as well as an active member of the United Methodist Women. Ruth had also been very involved with 4-H leader work and had been instrumental in many of the renovations at the Kidder Park.She was a homemaker and a piano teacher. On December 27 1942 she married Francis Grooms in St. Joseph Mo. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents and three brothers Vinson Roy and Dean Knox.Ruth is survived by three sons Michael Grooms Kidder; Dr. Paul (Rhonda) Grooms Bismarck North Dakota; and Steven (June) Grooms Kidder; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
