Teresa Marie (Gooding) Smith, age 70, of Brownsville, TX, passed away on January 21, 2026, in Brownsville.

Teresa loved God and read His word everyday.  She enjoyed boating, riding motorcycles with her husband, and especially loved her dogs, Kali and Teddy.  After moving to Texas, Teresa learned the game of golf and loved the sport.

Preceding Teresa in death were:  mother, Frances McBrayer; fathers, C.E. Gooding and Lawrence McBrayer; and sister, Debbie Gooding Ditmore.

Survivors include her husband, Les Smith; siblings-Pam (Paul) McIntosh, Becky Malone, Judy (Critter) Evans, Bonnie (Ken) Ford, Mack Keith McBrayer, Betty June Adams, Susie (Bob) Lund, and Terry (Lisa) McBrayer; many nieces and nephews whom she loved with her whole heart, and sister-in-law, Linda Orr Leonard.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
