Verna Sue Sipple, 76, Hamilton, Mo., formerly of Portsmouth, Va., and Liberty and Sparta, Ky, passed at her home on September 15, 2018.  She lived in Hamilton for the past 24 years.

Verna was born on October 3, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio to James Kenneth and Doris Jividen.  She earned degrees in nursing and business while living in Portsmouth.  She honorably served her country in the Navy from 1960-1964 working in coding.  She had worked as a nurse in numerous places including a hospital in Virginia.

Verna was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church, was active in 4-H with her children, was a Bingo volunteer at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Hamilton, and was the University of Kentucky's #1 fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-Michael Louis Jividen, and sister, Elaine Giles.

Survivors:  3 children-Greg (Clara) Sipple, Gallatin; Michele (Rick) Adkison, Hamilton; and Shawn Sipple, Hamilton; 6 grandchildren-Zachary Sipple, Holli (James) Scott , Kyle (Becca Holleran), Kacie and Skyler Adkison; and Addyson Sipple; 3 step-grandchildren-Andrew Mallen, Jacklyn and Jacob Maize; 5 great-grandchildren-Keirsten and Averi Scott, and Jaxxton, Levi and Letty Adkison; brother-Ronald Jividen, Florence, Ky; and sisters-Judy Arnold, Covington, Ky., and Terri Morgan, Louisville, Ky.

Celebration of Life:  2 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Visitation:  1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Cremation entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton, following the service.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo.
