Virginia L. Evans, 100, Cowgill, Mo., passed away on May 12, 2019, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Hamilton.  She lived in Cowgill since 1946 and was a homemaker.

Virginia was born on January 23, 1919, in Powersville, Mo., to Eal and Stella Varner.  She graduated from the New York School as the valedictorian.  Virginia was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, Cowgill, and she enjoyed embroidery and loved her Jersey cows.

On April 16, 1938, she married Clarse Albert Evans in Gallatin, Mo.  Clarse and Virginia were married almost 70 years before he passed in 2008.

She was also preceded by her parents and four sisters-Ruby Dangel, Beulah Entsminger, Edna Cox, and Roma Lee Demple.

Survivors include four nieces and two nephews.

Funeral Service:  1 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2019, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Interment:  Highland Cemetery, Hamilton.
