Wendell "Keith" Hurt, 84, Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away on June 23, 2025, at the North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, MO. Keith lived in Martinsville, MO, from 1972 to 1989, and moved to Excelsior Springs in 1989.

Keith was born on January 30, 1941, in Evansville, Indiana, to Frank and Beatrice (Deppenmeier) Hurt. He graduated in 1959 from the Lathrop High School, Lathrop, MO.

Keith worked full-time farming, and his wife and family will verify that he definitely worked full-time at his occupation.  He also raised hogs. Keith sold farm machinery and Bobcat equipment for 30 years. His favorite part of that area of his life was building relationships with his hundreds of customers. Keith was a member of the Hamilton Apostolic Lighthouse Church.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jim Hurt.

On September 25, 1959, he married Judith Doerr in Holt, MO, at his parent's new home. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include 4 children- Rick (Karen) Hurt, Mike Hurt, Jeff (Rhonda) Hurt, and Dee (Giselle) Hurt; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law-Marilyn Hurt and Jeanie (Bob)  Murphy; and brother-in-law-Joe Doerr.

Celebration Of Life Service- 10 am, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, Hamilton.

Formal Visitation- 5 to 6:30 pm, Friday, June 27, at the church.

Interment- Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 7835 N. Highway 13, Hamilton, MO.
